Allyship Training

Interested to learn ways to center BIPOC individuals, influence others, and drive your own self-work?

Curious about how to bring Allyship in your workplace?

Join us at one of our trainings to gain the tools you need to be an active Ally!

SNS defines Allyship as an active way of life in one’s respective areas of privilege that centers bridge-building to pursue social justice for everyone. This is accomplished by centering BIPOC and other marginalized people, working on the self, and influencing others. Using a racial justice lens, our Allyship trainings teach foundational knowledge about white supremacy and equip individuals in real time to address discrimination and promote social justice in everyday life.

Whether you are an individual, group, team, or entire organization wanting to deepen your commitment to Allyship, we offer multiple training opportunities to support wherever you are on your Allyship journey.

Allyship for Organizations

Want to bring our Allyship to your group or organization? Our private, virtual Allyship training is a total of 7 hours, presented in two 3.5 hour sessions on consecutive days.

To inquire about date availability to book a training, and/or if you have further questions after reviewing the FAQs below, please submit an inquiry.

Our organization was admittedly early on in our journey and had not done much internal work beyond a few annual trainings. We knew because of our platform we needed to lead by example for our members and industry partners. Understanding Allyship was key. The full day training was well received by staff and very much created momentum for staff. I also think the training gave racial equity humility and an opportunity to push beyond theory and awareness into action.

Organization Training FAQs

SNS's virtual Allyship training is an intensive, two-day, fast-paced webinar series designed to explore how to understand and utilize individual and collective areas of social privilege to advance racial justice through an intersectional lens. Using SNS’ CLAIM framework (Care, Learn, Act, Influence, Maintain), this training will explore what it means to adopt an Allyship lifestyle. This workshop will equip participants with tools to be an active ally for racial justice through methods of naming privilege, centering Black, Indigenous, and people of color, navigating intersectionality across identities, influencing others, and continuing their own self-work journey. Participants will leave this workshop committed to the Allyship lifestyle, and prepared to facilitate change in all areas of life.

What distinguishes the SNS Allyship Training from other trainings is that we provide actionable tools and techniques to promote justice and drive change in people’s everyday lives. In addition to the knowledge gained through education provided, participants will leave the training feeling equipped and empowered to start or continue Allyship work as a lifestyle. Whether you are just beginning this work or seeking continued growth, this training is useful for wherever you are in your Allyship journey.

The training takes place virtually in two 3.5-hour sessions over two consecutive days, with several personal breaks, and breakout discussions between content blocks.

Due to the nature of the content, we only schedule two 3.5 sessions on consecutive days. Allowing too much time to lapse between the sessions diminishes the experience.

A private training for an organization with up to 50 participants costs $10,000. Organizations with over 50 participants will be charged  $100 per each additional participant.

To ensure the best experience, the ideal total number of attendees is a maximum of 50. We do accept organizations with up to 75 participants, with the additional $100 per participant charge over the total of 50. We will consider organizations with over 75 participants on a case by case basis - please submit an inquiry using our inquiry form.

We do not currently offer any discounts. The cost of the training has been very intentionally set to compensate the organization equitably for our labor and content.

For organizations with limited budgets, you can consider registering each participant for respective Allyship trainings for BIPOC allies and for white allies through our partnership with Equity in the Center. Additionally, SNS hosts free quarterly open registration Allyship trainings.

This training is designed for both white and BIPOC participants to learn the responsibilities and tools for Allyship in their individual areas of privilege.

No. We do not allow recordings of our trainings due to the proprietary nature of the content and to prevent misuse.

To inquire about date availability and to book a training please submit an inquiry. One of our staff members will be in touch with you with further information and logistics.

All of our trainings are currently virtual. We will update our website when in-person trainings resume.

We also offer our Race Equity series, which is a training package that includes a total of four trainings: our signature Allyship training, White Supremacy 101, Bias & Microaggressions, and Building Equity. This series provides a deep understanding of our Allyship principles and locates anti-Blackness and white supremacy in both current and historical contexts. Leveraging this background, the series culminates with the Building Equity sessions which provide an opportunity for organizations to brainstorm how to apply their learnings to their work.

This series is only available to a select number of organizations each year, and is an option for organizations wishing to continue ongoing training after participating in the Allyship workshop, want to book SNS for the full series, and/or seek to engage in a more long term partnership. If you are interested in booking the full race equity series, please complete the inquiry form.

"This training gave me language to name my thoughts and feelings better, and gave me the tools to put that philosophy into action."

"I have gone through several DEI 'training sessions' over the past few years that provided a good understanding of how we arrived in our state of racial inequality, but they stopped short of presenting actionable steps that can be taken to make change. The framework of Allyship as a lifestyle helps me understand that this is something that needs to be a part of my day, every day, and not just when I witness fair and unjust acts. The speaking points are incredibly valuable, and I plan to review and revisit and understand that the work is never done."
